Fractal thinking

Soul looks up in fright every once in a while
To see this particular life living for this first and only time
Weird. Strange. Alien: the sudden insight
That could explain earthquakes, valleys, mountains, fault lines,
Wrinkles, grey hair, aching bones, memory loss, and other ageing signs.
